Uno de los principales problemas que afecta la región centroamericana es la educación, ya que son varios los países que muestran índices de atraso con respecto a otros en varios sentidos tanto de oportunidad como continuidad de estudios.

Recientemente se ha ofrecido el reporte “Educación inclusiva en Centroamérica y República Dominicana: balance, opciones y recomendaciones de política” creado por Organización de Estados Iberoamericanos para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (OEI) que tiene como propósito ofrecer un estado del arte al respecto de lo que acontece.

Si bien el informe detalla que “Costa Rica y Panamá, además de la República Dominicana, presentan perspectivas educativas favorables”, el país canalero tiene “192 mil estudiantes en riesgo de abandonar la escuela”, situación bien compleja que indica cuánto pudiera perderse con ello.

Mientras tanto, “El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras y Nicaragua tienen que mejorar”, de acuerdo con el reporte. Además, se detalla cómo “la región comparte retos ligados a la desigualdad económica, donde el 20 % más rico tiene cinco veces más probabilidades que el 20 % más pobre de terminar el bachillerato”.

Todo lo que en materia educativa ocurre, es proporcional a la escasez de talento que existe en la región latinoamericana, ya que “el 66% de los empleadores en Guatemala han tenido problemas para obtener el perfil deseado, mientras que el 60% de los reclutadores en Costa Rica señalan tener dificultades al momento de contratar el perfil deseado. Asimismo, el 55% de los empleadores en Panamá manifestó tener problemas de atracción de talento”.

Desde el Grupo Educativo CEF.- UDIMA, centro vinculado a la Fundación HERGAR, se conoce esta realidad y se apuesta por un acceso a la educación más comprometido con lo que necesita la región y sus estudiantes, ya que desde la web son varios los cursos gratuitos de la universidad UDIMA, así como todos los contenidos disponibles tanto en formato de libros como webinars.

Es por ello que desde el CEF.- Santo Domingo, se apoya a la República Dominicana y en especial con una licenciatura especializada en Empresa, Tecnología y Emprendimiento que tiene el objetivo desde la formación de pregrado dotar de competencias profesionales transversales, así como de una formación emprendedora.
