Encontrar a los profesionales idóneos se ha convertido en uno de los grandes retos para el sector de las Fintech en América Latina, según el estudio de una empresa de reclutamiento de profesionales PageGroup.

Hallar a las personas con las competencias técnicas y habilidades blandas necesarias constituye un desafío a la vez que un problema para las startups de la industria financiera que emplea nuevas tecnologías para las actividades financieras y de inversión.

El verdadero reto para las Fintech es conseguir ese talento, cuya escasez para la región latinoamericana asciende a 48%, ya que en este escenario las empresas necesitan nuevos perfiles para el sector de tecnología, indicó a la Agencia de Noticias de Panamá María Gabriela Fábrega, Manager de Michael Page Finanzas, marca perteneciente a PageGroup, que realizó el estudio.

Los perfiles más buscados son los Full Stack Developer, Scrum Master y Mobile Engineers Developers, “por lo que en este sentido, el estudio indica que las oportunidades para profesionales como ingenieros informáticos y de telecomunicaciones, físicos y matemáticos están creciendo rápidamente, así como la formación laboral en liderazgo, programación, ciberseguridad, inteligencia artificial, robótica y big data”.

Además, la directiva añade que el proceso de selección y contratación es, en mayor medida, virtual, y que suele ser ágil en comunicación y presentación de candidatos, muy orientado a la ponderación 70/30 entre competencias y conocimientos técnicos.

Fábrega indica que los demás sectores deberían replicar una buena práctica de las Fintech en la contratación: una única entrevista de trabajo que se realiza es en modo de panel, en el cual están todos los decisores para testear al candidato.

En el caso de la región centroamericana el problema se acrecienta, y una “muestra de la escasez de talento que sufre la región es que el 66% de los empleadores en Guatemala han tenido problemas para obtener el perfil deseado, mientras que el 60% de los reclutadores en Costa Rica señalan tener dificultades al momento de contratar el perfil deseado. Asimismo, el 55% de los empleadores en Panamá manifestó tener problemas de atracción de talento”.

Desde la Fundación Hergar, CEF.- Santo Domingo y la Universidad UDIMA se toma en cuenta esta realidad y se ofrece formación a la medida en diversas áreas del conocimiento como emprendimiento o recursos humanos.
