República Dominica como socio en la Feria Internacional de Turismo (Fitur), ha logrado acuerdos con touroperadores y aerolíneas españolas, cuyo ministro de Turismo, David Collado, cifró en un valor estimado en su totalidad, de 1.400 millones de dólares" para este país.

Ya en la jornada inaugural, el presidente de la República Dominicana, Luis Abinader, país en el que abrió su primer centro académico en el extranjero el Grupo Educativo CEF.- UDIMA, CEF.- Santo Domingo, institución vinculada a la Fundación HERGAR, contó que han “trabajado duro para garantizar la seguridad del turismo, de los turistas que nos visitan y tenemos el compromiso de seguir impulsando este sector”.

Abinader, por cierto, fue recibido este jueves en el Palacio de la Moncloa por su homólogo español, Pedro Sánchez, con quien mantuvo un encuentro que reforzó la relación entre ambos países.

De acuerdo con informaciones, han sido varios los acuerdos pactados con aerolíneas. Entre ellas, la española Iberia; la alemana Euro Wings y la polaca Rainbow Tours. Todo ello con el propósito de promocionar destinos e incrementar vuelos a uno de los principales destinos de sol y playa del Caribe.

Propósitos que tienen relación con la meta de alcanzar en ese país “10 millones anuales” de turistas y por ello, la revitalización de una industria que impacta horizontalmente a la sociedad y economía dominicanas. Tan así que “según cifras estatales, la República Dominicana percibe en exceso de 6.500 millones de dólares anuales por concepto del turismo, lo que equivale a un 15 por ciento del Producto Interno Bruto”.

Un sector económico que demanda cada vez de más empleados y especialistas en áreas como mantenimiento o entretenimiento hace que la búsqueda de personal sea una constante en ese país. Este jueves, se efectúa en la provincia de Altagracia en la República Dominicana, ferias de empleos que promoverán las empresas Higüey y San Rafael del Yuma.
