La Universidad a Distancia de Madrid (UDIMA), y en su nombre la rectora, Concha Burgos, se ha sumado a ‘Universo Sostenible’, un proyecto de divulgación científica impulsado por la Conferencia de Rectores de Universidades Españolas (CRUE) y Radio Televisión Española (RTVE), que consta de una serie de espacios audiovisuales de diez minutos de duración en los que expertos e investigadores de la comunidad científica universitaria responden de manera breve y sencilla a todo tipo de cuestiones emergentes sobre el ámbito científico.

CRUE Universidades Españolas y RTVE suscribieron en su día un convenio marco para poner en marcha esta iniciativa del grupo de trabajo Audiovisuales y Multimedia de CRUE-Comunicación y del grupo de trabajo de Divulgación y Cultura Científica de CRUE-I+D+i, en la que también participa desde ahora la UDIMA, junto a otras 25 universidades. Los profesores que representan a la UDIMA son José Ignacio Baile Ayensa, Elena Cachón González y Alberto Martínez de Guzmán.

El proyecto ‘Universo Sostenible’ se emite en La 2 de TVE, dentro del espacio ‘La aventura del saber’, programa diario matinal destinado a la formación educativa y la divulgación científica que dirige y presenta Salvador Gómez Valdés.

Como el resto de universidades públicas y privadas españolas, la UDIMA se adhiere como colaboradora y participante en esta serie videográfica compuesta de 12 programas de 10 minutos de duración, cuya producción correrá por cuenta de UDIMA Media, la unidad audiovisual dependiente de la Dirección de Comunicación de la institución académica.

Junto a la UDIMA participan en este proyecto la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, la Universitat de Barcelona, la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, la Universidad de Córdoba, la Universidad de Extremadura, la Universidad de Granada, la Universitat de les Illes Balears, la Universidad Internacional de Andalucía, la Universidad de La Laguna, la Universidad de Málaga, la Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche, la Universidad de Murcia, la Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia, la Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia, la Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, la Universitat Politècnica de València, la Universidad de Salamanca, la Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, la Universidad de Sevilla, la Universitat de València, la Universidad de Valladolid, la Universidade de Vigo, la Universitat de Vic - Universitat Central de Catalunya, la Universidad de Zaragoza y la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
