La rectora de CEF.- Santo Domingo, Patricia Portela, ha representado a la institución académica vinculada a la Fundación HERGAR en Acto de Premiación del VI Congreso Estudiantil de Investigación Científica y Tecnológica (VI CEICYT) evento organizado por el Ministerio de Educación Superior, Ciencia y Tecnología (MESCyT) en la República Dominicana y en el que se pretende motivar a los alumnos a estudiar carreras orientadas a la investigación.

Portela valoró como un importante incentivo el reconocimiento hecho a los estudiantes de mayor índice alcanzado en las áreas de ciencias básicas y agroalimentarias, recursos naturales, salud, ingeniería, tecnología y educación.
