Dirigido por el doctor Abel González, director de Criminología de la Universidad

La Universidad a Distancia de Madrid (UDIMA) y la Policía Local de Collado Villalba ponen en marcha el proyecto 'Cibermenores Seguros', cuyo objetivo es crear un programa de prevención de riesgos en Internet en educación primaria.

Este proyecto será dirigido por el doctor Abel González, director del Departamento de Criminología de la UDIMA, y coordinado por el sargento de la Policía Local Ricardo Arrate, también alumno de esta Universidad. Como investigadores del mismo participarán una recién egresada de Criminología y el alumno de la UDIMA Javier Sanz.

En un primer momento, y como experiencia piloto, se llevará a cabo en tres centros educativos de Educación Primaria de la localidad. Entre los temas que se van a tratar desde una perspectiva preventiva se encuentra: el conocimiento de los riesgos a los que se exponen los menores, desde acoso-ciberacoso hasta 'child grooming' o problemas de privacidad (desde dos perspectivas: agresores y víctimas), la reflexión sobre las consecuencias de los actos en el ciberespacio y, por último, el manejo de diferentes cibersituaciones con la ayuda de estrategias de afrontamiento adecuadas.

Todo el programa contará con una evaluación cuantitativa (diseño longitudinal 'ex post facto', cuasi experimental, pre-post de dos grupos, uno cuasi-control) y otra evaluación cualitativa (observación participante y entrevista con el profesorado participante).

En una segunda fase del proyecto se tratará de dar continuidad a las sesiones a través de la formación del profesorado y la creación de un blog por los propios centros educativos en el que se recogerán los materiales validados del programa, así como la experiencia, obteniendo con ello un banco de buenas prácticas en materia preventiva. Además el blog servirá como vehículo para la formación de las familias en riesgos de Internet.
