Colombia, Panamá y Costa Rica mantienen periódicas conversaciones sobre migración desde el pasado otoño, pues son varios los migrantes que emplean la selva del Darién- frontera natural entre Panamá y Colombia- para seguir rumbo por Panamá hasta Costa Rica y, una vez ahí, emprender hacia Estados Unidos.

Estos tres países, en conjunto con Estados Unidos, se han decidido unirse frente a esta crisis humanitaria. No es la primera vez que durante 2022 la migración ocupó agenda de los países centroamericanos, pues en el pasado abril, Panamá, Costa Rica y República Dominicana se unieron durante  la IV Cumbre de la Alianza para el Desarrollo en Democracia (ADD), donde se habló de un fondo especial, porque si hablamos de desarrollo y de ver cómo disminuimos el flujo de personas que dejan sus países, obviamente se requieren de proyectos de infraestructura que generen empleos y les den oportunidades a las personas, algo en lo que coinciden todas las partes.

Para conocer más sobre migración,  y desde la Fundación Hergar, el CEF.- Santo Domingo y la Universidad UDIMA, se celebró este año I Jornada de Formación para Profesores de Español en el contexto específico de personas migrantes y refugiadas que tuvo como propósitos “concienciar a la comunidad educativa del Español como Lengua Extranjera (ELE) de las necesidades y expectativas de las personas migrantes y refugiadas en las aulas”.
