Agentes de la Policía Nacional y de la DNCD dominicanos serán formados por la Universidad a Distancia de Madrid, UDIMA, institución adherida a la Fundación HERGAR, en análisis e investigación criminal y en ciberseguridad, gracias al acuerdo suscrito con el Ministerio de Educación Superior, Ciencia y Tecnología (MESCyT)

Durante el acto de la firma, el ministro Franklin García Fermín calificó de “trascendental” el acuerdo del que también se beneficiarán los oficiales de la Dirección Nacional de Control de Drogas (DNCD). Por su parte, el director general de la Policía, Edward Sánchez González, señaló que el acuerdo fortalecerá la labor policial.

Representando a la Universidad a Distancia de Madrid, UDIMA, suscribió el acuerdo Patricia Portela, rectora de CEF.- Santo Domingo, filial de la institución universitaria en República Dominicana; la delegada del CESTE, Lucia Natividad Marmolejos Lizardo; así como el director de gabinete del MESCyT, Juan Medina, y el rector del Instituto Policial de Educación, Orison Olivense.

El evento contó además con la presencia del Ministro de Interior y Policía, Jesús Vásquez; el presidente de la Dirección Nacional de Control de Drogas (DNCD), contralmirante de la Armada Dominicana José Manuel Cabrera; el rector del Instituto Policial de Educación (IPE), Órison Olivence Minaya; el vicerrector académico de CEF.- Santo Domingo, Antonio Reina, y representantes de las instituciones involucradas.

“Decididos a seguir aportando al crecimiento profesional de quienes arriesgan sus vidas por el bien común, trabajaremos en la capacitación internacional de nuestros policías con la Maestría en Investigación y Análisis Criminal”, expresó la rectora de CEF.- Santo Domingo, Patricia Portela, quien también resaltó que el Grupo Educativo CEF.- UDIMA es la primera universidad online de España y ha capacitado a más de medio millón de profesionales, de los cuales dos mil son dominicanos.
